*आंगन में नृत्य: भारत की लोक धरोहर का संगम् – Anand Mela 2025*

 

त्रिनेत्र टाइम्स कोरबा ****/  Anand Mela 2025 at NTPC Korba was celebrated with grandeur on the 12th and 13th of January, 2025, marking a vibrant confluence of India’s rich cultural heritage and community spirit. The event was inaugurated on 12th January 2025 by:
– Shri Anil Kumar, Executive Director, NTPC Lara, along with Smt. Anuradha Sharma, President, PRERITA Mahila Samiti;
– Shri Vijay Krishna Pandey, Chief General Manager, NTPC Sipat, along with Smt. Sadhna Pandey, President, Sangwari Mahila Samiti;
– Shri Rajeev Khanna, BUH, NTPC Korba, along with Smt. Roli Khanna, President, Maitri Mahila Samiti;
– Shri M.K. Baby, Head of Project, NGSL, accompanied by Smt. Siby Baby;
– Shri M.S. Srinivasan, Quality Champion (CII), and Shri Premadas T, Senior Assessor (Ex-CGM, NTPC Limited).
The inauguration ceremony included ribbon cutting, Ganesh Puja, lighting of the ceremonial lamp, cake cutting, and the release of balloons. Distinguished guests were honored with traditional Kosa angvastrams as a mark of welcome.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from unions and associations, Heads of Departments (HODs), members of the Maitri Mahila Samiti, BE Assessment team, and the Korba team. The mela saw a tremendous footfall from local residents and NTPC employees.

Event Highlights: The vibrant Anand Mela 2025 featured an array of captivating attractions that delighted attendees of all ages:

 

1. Stalls and Exhibitions: A bustling marketplace of over 80 diverse stalls offered something for everyone. Food and game stalls tantalized taste buds and provided endless entertainment, while township schools showcased innovative initiatives. CSR and welfare stalls by Maitri Mahila Samiti and Bal Bhawan highlighted impactful community efforts. A dedicated medical stall and associated displays underlined NTPC’s steadfast commitment to community development.

2. Cultural Performances: The heart of the mela was a spectacular celebration of India’s folk heritage. Enthralling performances of traditional dances like Bihu, Bhangra, Kashmiri, Lavani, and Chhattisgarhi brought the stage alive, reflecting the nation’s rich cultural tapestry. The theme, “Folk Dances of India,” was beautifully showcased through creative selfie points and vibrant exhibits that captured the essence of rural and traditional Chhattisgarh.

3. Special Initiatives: NTPC’s commitment to social welfare shone brightly with the distribution of artificial limbs, a meaningful gesture that brought smiles to many faces. Additionally, thoughtful goodie bags were presented to the hardworking support staff whose dedication made the event a grand success.

The excitement continued on the second day with mesmerizing internal cultural performances, a thrilling raffle draw, and a lively Tambola Night, ensuring fun-filled moments for all. The vibrant stalls remained a major attraction, drawing enthusiastic crowds throughout the event.

Anand Mela 2025 was a dazzling confluence of culture, community, and celebration. The event not only showcased India’s extraordinary heritage but also reinforced NTPC’s unwavering dedication to fostering cultural harmony and social welfare.
